Retro Color Blocking Collection

Created for an Apparel Design course at the Florence University of the Arts, this collection explores the fusion of retro aesthetics with a modern edge, visually inspired by bold color blocking. Out of twenty original looks, three were fully rendered in color and paired with technical flats, while one design was constructed physically by modifying a classic shift dress pattern. The finished garment features a custom martini appliqué, serving as a playful nod to mid-century fashion and the collection’s blend of vintage charm and contemporary style.
