Ree
This project centers on sustainability and reimagines fashion waste as something playful and valuable. Ree is a stuffed animal made entirely from fabric scraps and discarded clothing, with each toy uniquely shaped by the materials used. Designed to look lovingly mended, with visible stitches, patches, and band-aids, the toy encourages children to see beauty in repair and to continue the cycle by fixing Ree themselves if it ever rips. Each package carries a QR code linking to the story and materials behind the individual toy, turning every purchase into a personalized learning experience. The packaging, constructed from the same salvaged fabrics as the toy, reinforces the project’s closed-loop approach to reuse. Modeled in 3D with Womp, the toy and packaging were envisioned for sale in small business storefronts that promote sustainable consumption, offering children an early, tangible introduction to mindful fashion practices.
