TYPOLOGY BOOK

This typology explores Converse sneakers not for the shoes themselves, but for the evidence of the lives lived in them. Converse were collected from different people and photographed consistently to draw attention to the ways an identical object changes through use. Creases, stains, fading, repairs, and alterations become traces of each owner’s experiences and individuality. The publication pairs each shoe with information about its owner and a personal memory connected to wearing it, revealing the stories behind the physical wear. Through repetition, the project considers clothing as a personal archive and shows how the same object can become completely individual over time.
