Created collaboratively as an exploration of rage and emotional restraint, this mixed-media stop-motion video questions the pressure to remain composed in a culture saturated with anger. Imagining ourselves as content creators navigating social media, the piece embraces anger as something to express rather than suppress, reflecting the contradiction between being told to “keep it together” while the media surrounding us continuously presents conflict, outrage, and chaos.

The project also experiments with graphic design as a physical medium, moving the process away from the screen and allowing each frame to be altered by hand. Found YouTube clips and GIFs were digitally edited to Bad Reputation by Joan Jett before the video was exported and printed frame by frame at 25 fps. Each frame was physically manipulated using paint, pastel, colored pencil, paper cutouts, and layered textures, then scanned, color-treated in Lightroom, and reconstructed in Premiere Pro with additional typography and animation. Moving repeatedly between digital and physical processes gives the video an intentionally restless and abrasive quality, allowing the act of making itself to become a form of emotional release.
