CONVERSE REWORKED

Graphic Design

2026

Reworked is a campaign that reimagines what happens to a pair of Converse after years of wear. Instead of replacing worn-down shoes, the campaign celebrates the experiences already ingrained in them by having Converse artists hand-customize each pair. Stains, rips, fading, and other signs of use are not covered up, but embellished and amplified to make the history of each shoe part of its new design. Built around the idea “Proof of where you’ve been. Remade for where you’re going,” the campaign positions Converse as a brand that values the experiences its customers have in their shoes while encouraging a more sustainable alternative to replacing them. The visual identity includes a reworked Converse logo, campaign mark, copy, billboards, social media, packaging, and a pop-up experience.

The campaign centers around a video that brings the reworking process to life. The video begins with the original worn pair before moving through close-up studio photographs of the customized shoe, highlighting its materials, textures, and reworked details. AI was used to generate transitions between these still frames, creating movement through the different details of the shoe rather than simply showing a before-and-after transformation. The generated footage was then edited in Premiere Pro with typography, text animation, and campaign messaging. Combining studio photography, AI-generated motion, and graphic design reinforces the larger idea behind Reworked: the life already lived in an object can become the starting point for what comes next.
