Flamboyancy

These photos were shot and edited for the Flamboyancy section, exploring escapism through over-performance. Bold, unconventional fashion appears in ordinary, commercial environments—such as a Cricket phone store—creating a clear juxtaposition between an expressive, artistic sense of self and a rigid, capitalistic backdrop. Saturated reds and intense styling isolate the models from their surroundings, while the backgrounds remain largely desaturated to push the figure forward. The result frames flamboyancy as spectacle and protection: a carefully constructed, louder version of the self that commands attention on the outside while masking inner vulnerability.
